You can read the Match Report shortly and stick around on the site for more cricket action, including The Ashes coverage, South Africa versus India 2nd Test, the Women's BBL, and later the Pakistan T20I Tri-Series. Lots of cricket to munch on! Hope you enjoed the series and our coverage. From myself, Sreshth, Rashad and Vairavan, it's thank you and goodbye

Andrew Balbirnie, Ireland Captain: Start of the day, the main word we talked was fight, think application from Curtis and Gavin was (amazing), especially from Crutis. A lot of resilience but at the same time we were outplayed by Bangladesh. Surface played a lot different than what we expected. We were kind of expecting it to turn early on, it did turn but it didn't turn a lot, it was a pretty good wicket. Top-order was the difference, their top-order got big runs in both games. Our guys got starts and looked like they could score big. We will go back and work hard and learn. It was really good, T20 guys have got some cricket to look forward to. Great to be in a cricket-loving country, every time we play we get a learning opportunity and we enjoy a lot

Mushfiqur Rahim, Player of the Match: I want to play more. I just really enjoyed each and every moment, very lucky to play 100 matches and I enjoyed every second of it. Really lucky to share the dressing room and in near future we will have a great team. As a young player and also now no longer young, it's one of my responsibilities to guide youngsters. I just try my level best and I hope they learn a lot, not from me, but from all other players. I need to get some colour off the new cap as well

Najmul Hasan Shanto, Bangladesh Captain: I would like to congratulate the Ireland team for batting so well especially in these conditions. The way Murad and Taijul bowled, really impressed. Really happy the guys contributed to the team. Before this series we had a good plan that we wanted to bat long and we executed our plans and I hope we will continue like this. We always wanted to play Test cricket and hope we play more Test cricket. Always crowd comes and supports us, even if we lose. We always want crowd to come and support us.

Taijul Islam bags the Player of the Series award (picked up eight wickets). He also became the fastest to 250 wickets for Bangladesh

Campher remains unbeaten on 71, having faced a mammoth 259 balls, and refused to throw his wicket away despite the challenging conditions and precarious situation. He thrived in crisis and prevailed. Taijul and Murad picked up four wickets apiece while Khaled and Miraz chipped in with one each. With the impregnable target of 509 runs, Bangladesh had heaps of time to bowl Ireland out but credit to the visitors for showing remarkable improvement in a short span of time. Bangladesh were not handed a cakewalk today and they were made to toil today. A few more partnerships could have even taken the match toward a draw, so they should be proud of their effort. Earlier, Joy, Islam, Haque, and Rahim scored brilliant half-centuries to push the total to 297, and that's when they decided to declare and put Ireland in to bat. The top three for Ireland couldn't make a big impact but Tector hung around for a terrific half-century at a swift strike rate. Then Campher built partnerships with Doheny, McBrine, Neill and Hoey to take the match into the second session on the fifth day but he eventually ran out of support and Bangladesh wrapped up an emphatic 217-run victory.

Hasan Murad to Humphreys, OUT, And that's all she wrote. Murad delivers the coup de grĂące. Tosses it up fuller and gets it to spin across middle, beats the outside edge and wrecks the off-stump, back-to-back wickets and Bangladesh have won the two-match series by 2-0

Hasan Murad to Hoey, OUT, Looped up on a length and turns in viciously towards middle, unable to lay bat on ball and looks pretty close. Massive appeal for an lbw in unison and the on-field umpire doesn't hesitate at all, adjudges lbw straightaway. Hoey wants another look. Three reds, hiting middle-stump and the original decision stands.
