New coach Matt LaFleur will not retain special teams coordinator Ron Zook, a league source told ESPN. Not a surprise given how much the Packers struggled on special teams last season. They had made strides in 2017, finishing 16th in the Rick Gosselin's annual special teams rankings. Those rankings aren't out yet for the 2018 season, but the Packers are sure to plummet. Zook, like most of former coach Mike McCarthy's staff, was under contract through 2019 so if he doesn't get another job, the Packers will have to pay his full salary.
