ISTANBUL, May 13 - Besiktas won the Turkish Cup
for the third time in four years on Wednesday, beating
Fenerbahce 4-2 in Izmir with Brazilian Bobo scoring twice.
League leaders Besiktas went ahead against their Istanbul
rivals after six minutes when Yusuf Simsek beat keeper Volkan
Babacan with a shot from the edge of the area at the Ataturk
Stadium.
Daniel Guiza equalised in the 27th, sidefooting home from
close range after Deivid de Souza slid the ball across the
penalty area.
Striker Bobo put Besiktas back in front with a powerful
long-range shot before making it 3-1 with a header.
Filip Holosko added the fourth goal with 10 minutes left,
firing in after a one-two with Bobo.
Alex scored Fenerbahce's second with a penalty in injury
time.
Fenerbahce, who have not won the Turkish Cup since 1983, are
fifth in the league with three matches remaining.
