Napoli winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia's move to Paris Saint-Germain is nearly complete, a source has told ESPN, with the two clubs finalising the deal on Tuesday.
A source told ESPN that the transfer is worth €60 million ($61m) with a further €10m in add-ons for the Georgia international, who was the best player in Serie A when Napoli ended their 33-year wait for the Scudetto in May 2023.
Kvaratskhelia's has agreed to sign a four-and-a-half year contract, sources told ESPN, adding that no PSG player is expected to be part of the deal as both Milan Skriniar and Randal Kolo Muani are looking at options other than Napoli.
Kvaratskhelia had been linked with Liverpool this month, and manger Arne Slot refused to be drawn on any potential move. However, a full agreement with PSG has been reached with the player set to travel to Paris later this week to formally sign the contract.
His deal at Napoli is set to expire in June 2027. The club had wished extend his contract, sources told ESPN, but the player refused.
He told Antonio Conte that he wanted to leave this month. He had already wanted to go to Paris in the summer but Napoli closed the door on a potential move.
