A Michael Tambwe brace helped the Lions defeat the Southern Kings and gain their fourth win of the Super Rugby campaign.
After seeing Anidisa Ntsila open the scoring after just 51 seconds for the Kings, 19 year-old Tambwe's converted try levelled the game after just three minutes.
The Lions have made a habit of blitzing the opposition in the first half this season and they continued that form as tries from Malcolm Marx and Elton Jantjies put them into a 21-7 lead after 15 minutes.
Yaw Penxe clawed the Kings back to within nine points but the Lions secured the win before the break.
A second try from Tambwe, and a try from Jaco Kriel saw the Lions lead 35-12 at half-time.
Despite scoring minutes after the restart, through Malcolm Jaer, it was mere consolation as the Lions completed the victory in the closing minutes with Harold Vorster crossing for a try.
