1. So Joba ChamberlainJoba Chamberlain delivered his best start of the season and the longest of his career Monday night. That means most of the discussion about his job status will stop for at least one five-day cycle or until Phil Coke walks another leadoff hitter.

I think one problem with the debate about Joba is that it really is a day-to-day discussion focused only on what would help the Yankees on Tuesday night, or even in just 2009. Take a step back and look at what is going on with starting pitching in baseball.
