LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Top-seeded Louisville has been looking for a big hit all night, and Josh Richmond just delivered.
Richmond blasted a 3-2 pitch from Middle Tennessee's Bryce Brentz over the left-field wall to lead off the eighth inning and tie the game at 2. Richmond also scored the Cardinals' other run after a sixth-inning leadoff double.
Brentz was pulled with two outs in the inning but will stay in as the DH.
