MONTERREY, Mexico -- Marion Bartoli of France reached her second final of the year by beating Zheng Jie 7-5, 6-3 in the Monterrey Open on Saturday.
Second-seeded Bartoli will face unseeded Li Na of China in Sunday's final of the new hardcourt event.
Li took care of sixth-seeded Iveta Benesova of the Czech Republic 6-3, 6-3 in their semifinal.
After a back-and-forth first set in which Bartoli needed four breaks to win it, she settled in the second set and claimed the only break.
Bartoli will be playing in her ninth career final.
Since her third and last WTA Tour title in 2006, Bartoli has lost four consecutive finals, including 2007 Wimbledon.
Bartoli and Li will meet for the first time.
Li is a former top-20 player coming back from a right knee injury which kept her out of the Australian Open. The final appearance will be her first in 14 months.
