SC Next Top 25: High school girls' basketball rankings for 2025-26

2027 SC Next 60 No. 1 Kaleena Smith leads Ontario Christian, the No. 1 team in the 2025-26 girls' high school rankings. Hoopers4Dayz

Most states have launched their 2025-26 girls' high school basketball seasons is upon us. Most states have tipped off in their regular season action at this point.

Major events like the Hoopfest series, the She Got Game stops, Nike Tournament of Champions, Hoophall and state playoffs will help determine how this list shapes up throughout the season.

The current No. 1 team, Ontario Christian (Calif.), is led by two No. 1 players: Kaleena Smith (2027) and Tatianna Griffin (2028). No. 28 Junior guard Dani Robinson is making a name for herself, as is freshman Chloe Jenkins.

The Long Island Lutheran (N.Y.) roster is almost fully healthy, too. The program is loaded with 2026 SC Next 100 talent, including two Kentucky signees Savvy Swords (No. 19) and Emily McDonald (No. 23), Duke signee Sanai Green (No. 25) and Vanderbilt signee Olivia Jones (No. 14). Swords is now officially back and Green is expected to make her debut any day now. They should be at full strength when the Nike TOC starts play on Dec. 18 in Phoenix.

Watch out for DME (Fla.), led by Indiana signee Gigi Battle ( No. 32) and Penn State signee Chikae Desdunes (No. 51). Spanish big Sara Okeke, who is unsigned but highly sought after by the bluebloods, will be key to the program's season.

We also hope to see Iowa signee McKenna Woliczko (No. 6) back for No. 4 Archbishop Mitty (Calif.) after the New Year, which will make the historically strong program even better.

Keep this page bookmarked for monthly updates to the rankings through the season.
