FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- There was an overwhelming media crowd covering the New England Patriots on Wednesday, as there was a mix of traditional football reporters and then news reporters seeking reaction to reports that defensive end Chandler Jones was admitted to the hospital on Sunday.

Throughout the 45-minute session in which reporters were present, there was a group that waited at Jones' locker in case he showed up. He never did, but was later spotted at practice for the third straight day.

"We're all going to support one another and this team; 50 or 60 guys in this locker room, we have one another's backs, no matter what the situation is," special-teams captain Matthew Slater said. "Other than that, I don't really think it's fair for anyone to comment on that situation because we don't know what's going on. It's really none of our business."

Added receiver Danny Amendola, "Chandler has a lot of great support in this locker room. He's a great football player and we're excited to see what he does this week."

Meanwhile, safety Duron Harmon touched on how the Patriots manage distractions, saying, "I think Coach Belichick does a great job of just brainwashing you to let you know there are certain things we need to care about and certain things we need to just let be."
