HYATTSVILLE, Md. -- Terrance Davis was one of three players at DeMatha Catholic presented with an Under Armour All America jersey on Thursday afternoon, in a ceremony attended by friends and family.
Minutes before putting on the Under Armour All-America Game jersey, the No. 124-ranked prospect in the class of 2016 spoke about a huge honor that many college and NFL stars had before him.
“It’s a great honor to be recognized as one of the top kids in the country,” said Davis. “Playing in the same game that a lot of alumni played in and went on to be drafted in the NFL is a great honor.”

For this group of players, the theme on Thursday was more about DeMatha Catholic’s team than any one individual award. Davis said he hopes this is just the beginning of a long run of Under Armour All-America Game selections for the nationally known producer of basketball talent.
“Shane, Tino and I have really turned the football program around and are helping get us on the national stage like basketball, so it’s just a start hopefully. We want to have many more Under Armour All-America Game players in the future.”
Davis currently has his mind on a perfect season for DeMatha Catholic, as do his teammates, and the 6-foot-4, 315-pound lineman has all five official visits on the docket following the season.
“I have four officials set. Michigan is my first visit for the Ohio State game. After that I go down to Georgia December 11, then Alabama January 9 and UCLA January 15. Ohio State, Florida and Maryland are also there, and Maryland will probably be my last official visit. I’ve got to set that one up,”
The nation’s No. 7-ranked guard says his ultimate decision will come down to a pair of key factors.
“I would say education because I have to be able to do something great with my life after football, so education has to carry a lot of weight. I would say a family atmosphere too, in case I choose to go far away from home.”
