UA jersey tour: WR Nate Craig-Myers

WATCH: Nate Craig-Myers UA jersey presentation

ESPN 300 wide receiver Nate Craig-Myers received his Under Armour All-America game jersey presented by American Family Insurance on Wednesday in front of teammates, coaches, faculty and friends at Tampa (Florida) Catholic High School.

The second-ranked wide receiver and 43rd-ranked player in the ESPN 300 said being selected to this game was very special to him.

“It’s just a big honor,” Craig-Myers said. "Being one of the few guys to be selected to play in this game is just every kid's dream to go out there and be an Under Armour All-American. It’s a big honor.

Craig-Myers grew up watching the game and admitted there is one player from previous games that stood out to him.

“I remember watching Amari Cooper,” he said. “I just watched him make a lot of plays and that just stuck with me. And another guy, Landon Collins, he had a few big hits, so it was fun watching those guys make plays."

The 6-foot-3, 208 pound athlete was at one point committed to Auburn, but backed off of that pledge in May. Other schools such as North Carolina, Florida and Florida State are trying land the talented pass-catcher.

“I’m just taking it slow and trying to take it one step at a time,” Craig-Myers said. “I’ve visited Florida unofficially and North Carolina for an official visit. I’ll probably get to the Miami/Clemson game this weekend and the Florida/Florida State game at the end of the year.

Craig-Myers will likely wait until the Under Armour All-America game to announce his decision.

Q&A with Nate Craig-Myers

What is your first football memory?

Craig-Myers: It was definitely in flag football. I started tackling people and they told me I couldn’t do that so they moved me up to play in pads.

If you could start a team with any other player in this class who would it be and why?

Craig-Myers: I’d say my brother (Florida defensive back commit Jayvaughn Myers). He’s hard-working and I know if I had to go to war, he’d be one I could depend on to fight with me.

If you could play 1-on-1 with any professional athlete in their sport, who would it be and why?

Craig-Myers: Might not be 1-on-1, but I’d love to play with Cam Newton. That’s a guy that I always liked even way back he was at Florida. He’s a playmaker and just brings that swag to the table.

What number do you wear in high school and is there a reason why you wear that number?

Craig-Myers: I wear No. 21. My uncle died, he played baseball and football and wore that number. I wanted to dedicate my senior year to him, so I’m wearing No. 21.

What is something that not many people know about you?

Craig-Myers: I love sushi and love to sing. That’s about it.
