Josh Allen is still the clear NFL MVP betting favorite and the next three favorites also essentially remain unchanged, even though two quarterbacks lost last weekend.
Allen (+150) outdueled Patrick Mahomes in their high-profile showdown last Sunday, as the Buffalo Bills defeated the Kansas City Chiefs, 24-20. Mahomes threw two interceptions in the home loss but only dropped from +450 to +500 at Caesars Sportsbook.
"His pedigree speaks for itself," Caesars Sportsbook assistant director of trading Adam Pullen told ESPN. "We continue to have respect for his game and his odds are fair and shouldn't be over-adjusted based on a close loss to a great team."
Jalen Hurts remained at +450 and the second betting favorite. The Philadelphia Eagles are the league's only undefeated team through six weeks. In 12 of the last 15 seasons, a quarterback from a conference's top two seeds has won the award. Hurts' Eagles and Allen's Bills currently lead their respective conferences.
"The Eagles are winning with a balanced approach of a great defense, strong running game and quarterback that isn't making mistakes," Pullen said. "He's playing incredibly consistent and clean but if you look at his stat lines, they don't jump off the page."
Two-time reigning MVP Aaron Rodgers has 50-1 odds, following the Green Bay Packers' third loss. They lost three games in each of the previous two regular seasons.
