5.20pm Phoebe Litchfield's incredible century, her record 189-run stand with Alyssa Healy, and a handful of cameos have helped Australia post their highest ODI total against India. Healy got her first fifty as full-time skipper as well. Perry came, hit and went quickly, Gardner was good as well and then King made full use of fielding restrictions faced by India for a slow over rate with a 14-ball 26. Shreyanka Patil was the pick of the bowlers with a career-best three-wicket haul, that included two in two balls that had Australia on the rails momentarily. But overall, it was the visitors' day in the first innings after they won the toss and chose to bat. With 339 to chase, India now have a massive task ahead of them! Join Srinidhi in a bit for the second innings. Until then, have your say about what you think will be the final outcome of this match!

But before I go, here's one more nugget from Sampath on this innings. Most sixes by a No. 9 or lower batter in a women's ODI innings:

3 - Shabnim Ismail vs SL, 2011 3 - Alana King in 2nd ODI 3 - Alana King in 3rd ODI

Phoebe Litchfield (not verbatim): "I just have good batters around me. Nice wicket to bat on as well. Had to be patient. It's a challenge, but there's a lot of scoring opportunities out there, especially when the fielders are spread out. It was nervous 90s for me, took me a while to get there. [On upping the tempo while batting with Healy] Definitely crossed our minds, especially with the start we got that we can push harder. We knew a few quick wickets can derail us, but the way the tail wagged, well played by the girls."

Andy C: "338-7 is Australia's highest total v Ind and the highest total conceded by India against any opposition (passing 332-7 by Aus v Ind at Vadodara 2018)"

Mark: "I think it's unfair for the Aussies to have that much depth hitting."

Sriram: "It baffles me that King didn't get a WPL gig this time too. She is a great addition to any team"
