4.33pm South Africa's last four wickets made 124 runs. Quinton De Kock led that charge, yet again. This is why South Africa took the gamble to play him despite the injury. It has paid off and what looked like a sub-250 total is now, surely, more than enough in this rain-plagued game to keep them safely away from a loss. That's speculation based on forecast, of course, but New Zealand have no option but to come out attacking if they want to win this match. Four wickets for a very impressive Matt Henry, and two for Grandhomme who looked tidy in favourable conditions. Wagner conceded 18 boundaries in taking his three wickets and the spinners were virtually non-existent part-timers. Normally wouldn't be a bad first innings performance after losing the toss, but context is everything in this last game of their summer. We'll be back soon for the response.

Wagner to Rabada, OUT, it is the bouncer that gets him anyway. This one is close to his throat and still climbing as he swings at it. He closes his eyes and goes through with the shot. The top edge floats high behind first slip and Watling trots backwards to catch that

Wagner to Rabada, FOUR, they keep bouncing him, he keeps taking it on, and it's yet another boundary through fine leg. This was sliding down leg and once more he swiveled and found the boundary

Wagner to de Kock, OUT, full and angling into the leg stump, De Kock has slogged across the line and missed this one. It struck him in line, but would it have gone down? Rod Tucker doesn't think so. He's given him. It's been reviewed. And ball tracking shows it has straightened enough to hit leg stump. Replays showed there was some late swing that made him miss the shot.
