4.05pm New Zealand will have nine nervy overs to get through tonight. Possible that a majority of them will be bowled by the spinners? Who would have seen this total coming when India were tottering at 100 for 3 yesterday? That seems ages ago. A lot has happened since, and we're not even two full days into the Test. New Zealand's bowlers will be relieved to get off field. Their masseur will have a lot of work to do this evening.
Vinod Rajpal: "Pls explain the 5 penalty runs of Jadeja !! as of now cant see any deduction or addition ??" The five runs will be added to New Zealand's total.
"This rule of 5 penalty runs send ridiculous. The batsman can damage the pitch at the cost of 5 runs while the same offence from the bowler results in a ban for the rest of the innings. The right thing would be to give the batsman out, after two warnings due damaging the pitch." It is batsman-friendly here too. Totally agree, Ravi.
Kapil: "Can Jadeja run like, say 5 times in the middle of pitch and give 25 to NZ happily ... chuckles!!! to be fair penalty should have been batsman removed. Anyone will happily give 5 runs to destroy the pitch, specially spinner like Jadeja, who is master at exploiting the spots in the pitch. " Yes, it's quite unfair considering a bowler can possibly be taken off if he's told a third time by the umpires.

Jadeja has now received a second warning, this time from Bruce Oxenford. Penalty of five runs, which will be added to New Zealand's tally He ran straight down the middle of the pitch. Excellent call from the umpire. Got that spot on. Jadeja doesn't look happy, but the umpire was spot on with the call

Karun Nair was out with a message at the end of the last over. Kohli is also signalling to his batsmen to go for broke now. Two overs, maybe?
