5.04pm Wow. England have piled it on in the last 10 with India wilting in the last 10. However, this score of 350 won't even call for the highest successful chase in India. India once chased 360 in 44 overs against Australia. Jason Roy says they would have been happy given 350 at the start of the match but he also says this is "job just half done"
England played to their gameplan: everybody hits and Root looks to bat through the innings. India kept up with wickets at the right time, but in the end England just ran away with it. Kohli's captaincy today? He should have introduced part-time spin early, he should have asked Ashwin to not be that damn negative, and he shouldn't have put Bumrah under so much pressure by asking him to bowl five out of the last nine overs
This is a small ground, though. The squarer boundaries are bigger so expect Willey, Woakes and Stokes to bowl a lot of short balls. Especially to Dhawan and Yuvraj. Not least because nobody has nailed the pull shots today. Dew could be a factor but England will have bowled around 25 overs before any dew shows up. We will be back with the chase at 5.40pm
Over the wicket to Willey
Bumrah to bowl out. Forty-two off the his last four
