Pratik: "50 on his 50th ODIs for Santner and a score for Kiwis to defend. A day may come when Santner can play as a batsman too like the great DAniel Vetori"

Nathan: "How fitting that the innings ends in a run out..."

5:31pm New Zealand should be happy it got to the final over. 108 for 6 at the end of 30 overs and they've managed to go by the old rule of doubling your score from there. Unfortunately, it's still not a lot of runs. England put in an unreal performance on the field today, and backed up their simple and disciplined bowling up front. New Zealand also gifted them some wickets today. Three of the top six made only 1 and it took the allrounders in the lower-middle order to follow Guptill's solo effort at the top to give them a chance to stay in the game. We'll be back with the chase soon.

Woakes to Santner, 1 run, OUT, length on off stump, short-arm jab into the ground, to deep midwicket's right. A one-handed pick up and throw from Stokes. Boult appears to have slid his bat in on the second run...but third umpire's replay finds him an inch short. A cruel end to his innings. A premature one for New Zealand. Fourth run out of the innings

TA Boult run out 2 (8m 3b 0x4 0x6) SR: 66.66

Woakes to Santner, FOUR, ...and it's four next ball. Length just outside off. Stands tall and goes straight. Off the bottom part of the bat but he's got enough to clear mid-off

Santner's had a word of advice from Boult...

Woakes to Santner, no run, it's in the slot, but it's a slower ball he hasn't picked. Through the slog early as this slides through from under the blade outside off
