8.59pm The innings started with a bang when Nuwan Thushara got a yorker to rattle the stumps first ball. He then picked up another, after which a hobbling Wanindu Hasaranga ran through the middle order to claim a four-for. Matheesha Pathirana then troubled the lower order with a three-wicket haul, and the innings was wrapped up by Maheesh Theekshana. Dunith Wellalage the only man without a wicket.

Another disappointing batting performance from New Zealand. Young (30), Clarkson (24) and Santner (19) reached double digits, but that's about it. Yesterday, NZ scored 135 and gave something for their bowlers to try and defend. Tonight, you suspect it's way, way less. Srinidhi will be back on the other side for the chase
