3:25pm Harmanpreet collects the trophy and then walks over to her teammates, before handing over the silverware to Rawal and Kanwar, both of whom made their debuts through the course of this series. A much-needed result for India after what happened in Australia recently, and they are, unsurprisingly and deservedly, all smiles.
That also brings us to the end of our coverage. Lots of cricket happening concurrently and in the near future, and all of it can be followed on ESPNcricinfo. Until next time, this is goodbye from Binoy, Raghav, Shashank and myself. Take care, everyone!
Renuka Singh, Player of the Tournament: The pitch was helpful, and I just wanted to hit the right areas. My teammates also had a bet (amongst themselves) on the number of wickets that I will take (laughs). That was a motivation for me, and I gained confidence from that also, when the team backs you. I have put in a lot of hard work, and now feeling happy that I am getting rewarded for it. Performances in Australia were not great. So, I came back, talked to Jhulan (Goswami) di, and felt nice talking to her. We discussed (on what to do better) and I worked on that.
Deepti Sharma, Player of the Match: (On what she was thinking after the early wickets) I was waiting for my time with the ball, and wanted to contribute. Wanted to hit the right areas so I could take more wickets and give my team breakthroughs. I try to read what the batter is going to do, I usually get an idea a ball before on what they are trying to do. (On the Henry dismissal) She was a set batter and that was a main wicket for us. I just wanted to get her wicket quickly and that was a crucial wicket, so I was happy.
Harmanpreet Kaur, India captain: (On Renuka) She is someone who sets the tone for us and happy to see how she is bowling. These types of games show how mentally strong you are. the way Deepti and Jemi handled the situation and then the way Richa finished (the match), it is a big positive for us. Our bowling unit was really good and happy to see those performances. Staying together and working hard - that is something that has given us positive results. When we came back from Australia, we discussed that we talk about the things that have given us results. Those things helped us and happy the way everyone stood up for the team. (Improvements) Fielding coach is always asking us for 100% catching, and today we made one error also, and if we do that (get better), it will set the tone for us.
Hayley Matthews, West Indies captain: We were probably a few runs short. But good to see the fight shown in the second half. Everyone getting up and about - it shows that no matter what, we want to fight until the very end. (On the decision at the toss and if she regrets it) Not necessarily. The wicket was tricky in both halves. Started turning a lot more (later). We didn't adjust how well we had to (with the bat). (On the positives) As a group, we get to see the depth we have. To see Henry stand up, really good to gather, and just personal milestones that a lot of the girls have been able to reach.
Jemimah Rodrigues: (On if she is pleased with her batting and the team's performance today) 100%. Today's game was challenging because of the conditions. But the way Renuka bowled and then Deepti taking that six-wicket haul, everyone contributed (with the ball and in the field). Batting was a little tricky but glad we could get over the line. (On the pitch) There was a bit of hold and a bit of tennis-ball bounce. The last match, it was a very good track. One thing I changed today, because wickets had fallenâŠI tried to play Matthews out (because she was bowling well) and then try for runs at the other end. Also tried to play back-foot square shots. This win, especially a clean sweep, means a lot (to the team). We have been having a lots of ups and downs. To come here and win again, it means a lot. We will take a lot of positives from here and get even better as we take on Ireland and then the WPL. (On the bowlers) I promise that if they can get teams all out every game, I will run from long on to long on each over. Hats off to them (the bowlers). The pitch was in our favour but we still needed to hit the right lengths. They have been working hard in the nets and nice to see them execute (in the match). Bowlers win us matches.
Pratika Rawal: It was a great feeling. We wanted to win 3-0 and very happy we were able to achieve it. My first series and I am very happy. I got out very easily today, it was not a good shot. I wanted to go over mid-on. In the next match, I will try and play more cautiously and would want to finish more matches for India. (On batting on this pitch and if it was tricky) I enjoyed it, it was coming nicely onto the bat. It was swinging a lot, both bowlers were swinging it in and out. With my strengths, I was able to hit it in the point region as well and for me, it was okay.
2:55pm There were a few wobbles early in this chase, but India held their nerve. It began with Harmanpreet counter-attacking to offset the dismissals of Deol and Mandhana. Rawal also held her own, with Rodrigues and Deepti later ensuring India got close to the target. Deepti, who picked up six wickets earlier in the day, was there at the end, alongside Ghosh, who flexed her muscles and finished the game the only way she can.
Another indifferent outing for West Indies. Their bowlers got their teeth into the contest much more, but like the opening two ODIs, their first innings exploits meant they were playing catch-up. And that ultimately was too much to handle, despite their bowlers not doing a whole lot wrong and utilizing the conditions well.
