5.06pm What a finish from India. They have done superbly to restrict Australia under 300, they conceded just 59 runs off the last 10 overs after Aaron Finch's sensational hundred and another Steven Smith fifty put them in command of the game. All the bowlers contributed nicely, taking wickets and bowling good defensive lines. Australia's batting came to the fore in the first half of the innings, but then failed miserably in the second half. They have the runs on the board, but is it enough? This total is just 12 runs more than what India managed in Chennai after falling to 11 for 3, that surface was much tougher than this one. So India well in front at the halfway mark. Deiva M will be back after the break.
Aaron Finch, the century-maker: "Nice to get a hundred, but we left a few out there. Did a rigorous fitness test yesterday. They bowled extremely well with the new ball, their plan was to get us playing across the line, which was high risk. Not an easy pitch to score on right away."
Rohit: "Earlier in the day we were talking of 10-0-60-1 being match winning figures, we have four bowlers from India who have done that." Bowlers winning you games, right? If India win, i.e.
This from Al Muthu: An inkling of how India's death bowling has been transformed: Over the last two years, Bhuvi and Bumrah feature among the top three to bowl the most balls between the 40th and 50th overs. Bhuvi has an economy rate of 7.5 with 12 wickets. And Bumrah an economy rate of only 6.5 with 22 wickets. It's not like they needed the leg up, but Kuldeep and Chahal gave it to them anyway, with the wickets of Finch, Smith and Maxwell

the umpire calls a dead ball, and the leg umpire Erasmus calls a no-ball. Dead ball called. It slipped out of Bhuvneshwar's hands, the slower ball. Landed on the adjacent pitch. Think that should have been a no-ball for height
Kush Maheshwari: "This is the difference in bowling from India, Previously they would give 330 runs away but now with wicket takers in the line up, Aus is strugglin to get 300"
How have Australia got themselves here? 350 was on at one point. They'll need something to get them to 300
