WATCH - Ashwin flattens Curran's stumps; England bowled out for 246 (India only)
6.03pm India would have been delighted if you'd told them at the toss that they'd bowl England out for 246. Sure, they'll be a little disappointed given England were 86 for 6 at one point, but they have bowled very, very well for most part, Jasprit Bumrah the standout with three wickets. This seems a below-par total from England, if I'm right in my suspicion that batting really isn't that difficult on this pitch if you get through the new ball. But, as we all know, you can't judge a pitch until both teams have batted and bowled on it. From England's perspective, Sam Curran has dug them out of a deep hole and given their attack something to play with.
India will now have an awkward 15 minutes or so to survive until close of play. They've asked for the light roller between innings, for what it's worth.
SM Curran b Ashwin 78 (188m 136b 8x4 1x6) SR: 57.35
Ashwin back into the attack. Slip, gully, silly point.

Long-on and long-off stay back for the last ball. As does deep square leg.
Riaz: "Sam Curran is the leading run scorer for Eng in this test series with 225 runs follow by J Bairstow with 212 !! pretty much sums up the Eng batting performance this series ! Kudos to Sam Curran!!!"
Arun Kalyanaram: "And the unforgettable Jimmy (P)Adams" -- Indeed!
Bumrah continues from round the wicket.
Bhargav Sura: "Sam Curran is turning out to be yet another Left Handed batsmen who's tortured Indian bowlers through the years - Trescothick, Hayden, Tom Latham, Andy Flower, Quinton DeKock." -- That list is terribly incomplete if you leave out Shivnarine Chanderpaul circa 2002.
