4:12pm Chandimal stranded on 155 then. Seven short of his highest of 162. It didn't appear like he would get out, other than that aimless swipe a few balls ago. A long, long innings - 372 balls. Will he be happy with 419? Hard to tell. But Sri Lanka's caution has been vindicated; the lower order folded quickly. They did brilliantly to not expose them earlier. Karunaratne set the tone with a very impressive 93 yesterday, and Dickwella was true to character with his 83. Pakistan's bowlers huffed and puffed - only four of them, bowling nearly 155 overs with barely any support from the part-timers. Nothing to write home about for them. That 61 for 3 at lunch yesterday seems a long way behind.
