The stop-start feel to this game ended as soon as Kusal Perera slapped 51 off 32 in the middle overs. And then at the end, the 109-run partnership (off just 68 balls) between Dasun Shanaka and Thisara Perera has ensured that the crowd in Pallekele, which braved the torrential rain, enjoyed a rare domination by the Sri Lankan batsmen in this series. South Africa have nothing to lose either, so expect them to give this target a mighty chase. We'll be back in a bit with the second innings. Here's hoping the rain stays away.
