Rayudu, man of the match: wicket was tough to bat on. I had to take my time and fight it out. Happy to have passed my yo-yo Test. Happy to put it behind me
Head:Not a great day with the bat but I thought we fought hard with the ball and on the field. Preparation was good, we trained well and had clear plans. The wicket spun quite a bit.
Iyer: Lucky toss to lose. Would have batted first as well. Expected the pitch to be flat but it suddenly started turning. Happy for the guys picked in the Test squad, especially Prithvi Shaw to be selected at that age. We've played for Mumbai together so good to see him there.
3.10pm That is that. Ambati Rayudu, who had missed the ODI tour to England after failing a fitness test, has marked his return to action with a match-winning fifty for India A against the Australians at the Chinnaswamy Stadium. He came in at 21 for 3, then saw his side slump further to 29 for 4, but combined with Krunal Pandya for a 109-run stand to rescue the chase. Pandya nicked off with his side 14 runs away from victory, but Rayudu eventually sealed the game.
