3.05pm: I said West Indies needed to find a formula in ODIs... and, well, that might just do it! They've piled up their highest score against England, who will need to pull off their highest chase if they are not to go down here. Adil Rashid's last two overs went for 34, ensuring West Indies didn't lose momentum right at the end, and only Ben Stokes managed to escape with respectable figures. But this was mostly about Chris Gayle, who returned to West Indies colours and found top form after a scratchy start (though England will rue dropping him on 9). Can England demonstrate the value of running twos as well as hitting sixes? We'll be back to find out shortly

Time for a word with Windies centurion Gayle: "It's one of my best innings, you check my career and I haven't started like that. But it's not how you start, it's how you finish. Hopefully put us in a good position. Used a bit of experience, knew which bowlers to target, the new-ball bowlers bowled well. Campbell, Shai Hope took the pressure off me, which was fantastic. It's a good wicket, the new ball is going to be key for us. [Celebration?] Raise the Windies flag high, since it's my last home series, keep the flag high and make sure everyone gets a chance to see that. Getting a few cramps, hopefully get back on the park and get a win. [Winning score?] Confident, any particular day a team will take 360, but we can't relax or take it for granted. We're playing the No1 team so we have to get the ball in the right areas and take our chances in the field."

Rashid to Bishoo, no run, full and straight, he reverse-swipes across the line again, hit on the pad - and the finger goes up! Bishoo reviews, though, and he seems to have hit it. There's a delay with UltraEdge, which then shows wobbly lines everywhere, but the pictures are pretty clear that he got some bottom edge on it and the decision is overturned. Bishoo doesn't get his run, though, and has to return to the striker's end

Rashid to Bishoo, SIX, reverse-slapped over deep point! That equals the record for the number of sixes in an ODI innings! Extraordinary shot from Bishoo, on a day of extraordinary hitting
