5.34pm Well, that was fun. Some hits and misses all down the order. Pooran was exceptional, and enough of his team-mates chipped in to get a total on the board. With the ball, Curran took the plaudits, but Rashid was outstanding once again, while Denly burgled some excellent overs with his legbreaks too. Jordan was left one over short of his quota, and this total will take some getting. Back shortly with Alan.

Pramod Kumar An: "The Reason Morgan choose to bowl out Curran is Jordan may be saving more runs by fielding than bowling." Good point well made. He is electric

Hugh: "Even if Archer impresses enough to feature at the World Cup, why would Plunkett be the one to make way? He's England's best seamer in T20Is. After Rashid, he's the most important man with the ball." I endorse this comment, while also worrying that time is creeping up on the old man. He made his debut in 2005!

Curran to Holder, OUT, low full toss, slapped hard down the ground and Curran finishes with four! Right at the bottom of the bat, Billings steadies himself at long-off, and that's a very competitive total on a tricky pitch for free-flowing strokeplay

Curran to Nurse, 1 bye, slower ball, big wind-up, misses out, goes for the single as the keeper shies ... misses ... Curran gathers, shies ...misses too ... it's all happening!

Curran to Nurse, FOUR, well batted Ashley Nurse! Turns his stance inside-out, gets a touch cramped as he does so, but lifts his deflection past leg stump and to the rope!

Morgan and Curran have a conflab, with Jordan chipping in too

Curran to Nurse, 2 runs, crashed on the up to the leg side. The sweeper intercepts

James: "Valid point that loyalty can be a good trait, but not blind loyalty and especially so if there are better options available." Well, there aren't yet... but Archer will be available come the World Cup and I've no doubt he will be in consideration

Curran to Holder, 1 run, walloped out to deep midwicket, but just short of the fielder!
