3.40pm England all out for 476 on the stroke of tea with a lead of 101. They've now got to hope the pitch offers more to the bowlers than it has all match and contain New Zealand. That flurry of wickets was overwhelmingly down to poor shot selection rather than any misbehaviour by the pitch. The hosts, on the other hand, have proven batting prowess, of the stubborn variety, so they will no doubt back themselves to dig in here and overhaul England's lead.

Luke: "I don't know if you could say that Broads 'team' batted big. Three of them did, for sure, the rest seem to have done diddly squat." Qualified correction on my part, Broad asked for someone in his team to bat big. In fact, he singled out Rory Burns as the man most likely.
