They were looking very good at one point, being 108 for 2 in the 14th over, before the New Zealand quicks bounced back to strike and slow things down. Dickwella scored well again, Jayasuriya struck a few boundaries and Southee did his thing in the slog overs with those slower deliveries again to end with 2 for 18 from four overs. Ankur will start the chase soon...

Niroshan Dickwella: We're 15 uns short in this game and it's a pretty good wicket for batting, we couldn't capitalise on the good start. There's no dew so it's going to be a good fighting game. We have to have some team meetings and talks about out late scoring. I'm really happy playing at No. 4, I can build a partnership, get the odd boundary and rotate the strike. My finger is getting better and healing well.

Rance angled the ball across Akila, he swung and missed it and Malinga was aware to steal a bye on the last ball but Akila was ball-watching and a throw from the keeper to Rance effected the run out
