1.40pm Mayank Agarwal and Shubman Gill walk out to the middle. Agarwal needs some runs and here's a great opportunity to get some and remain unbeaten. That's of course easier said than done. Mitch Starc, who bowled a stunning first over to him in the first innings, has the ball in hand again. Agarwal taking strike. Three slips, gully and short leg waiting.

1.33pm Welcome back, folks. India need 70 to make this 1-1 going into Sydney? mmmm maybe Melbourne itself? Cricket Australia will make an announcement soon. Apparently, there have been three new cases in Sydney today.

WATCH - Highlights of first session of day four (Indian subcontinent only)

James: "@Arun Prakash: the bowling attack that dismissed India for 36 last week might have something to say about that. I don't think they're going to be able to save Australia this time, though!"

Rohit B: "Adding to what Arun has to say, the pitch hasn't been bowler friendly as such. It's been flat, and the bowlers have gone out there and toiled for each wicket with Perseverance and Persistence. Love the spirit of the bowling attack!"

Arun Prakash: "Without Ishant, Shami and Umesh, India bundled Australia for less than 200 in both the Innings. So proud of this bowling unit. At present, With no doubt, I would say that we have the best bowling unit in the world." --- I'd argue they took their time getting the actual best bowling line-up in the world out.

Harry: "That last wicket would have been Umpire's call if it was an lbw decision. "

ankur baid: "Ashwin's figures dont suggest how good he has been in this innings "

Kamal Gupta: "Ashwin and the umpire had a bit of a chat that did not seem super pleasant. Have a feeling it was about that lbw not out call earlier"

12:59pm Bumrah says the chat was to not complain about being a bowler down and to try and make run-scoring hard. They've certainly done that - 103.1 overs for 200 runs, and that's a lead of 69 for Australia. Which is nice only in one context on the internet. 67 runs added this morning in 37.1 overs. Once again it was lower-order resistance that kept them in the game. India need 70 to make this 1-1. It is lunch now, of course. So we'll see you in 40 minutes.

Ashwin to Hazlewood, OUT, shoulders arms and that hits off stump! Good length ball at a middle and leg stump line. He leaves expecting that to turn away more than it did. Off stump was completely exposed and Ashwin found the top of it

Ashwin to Starc, no run, huge appeal for lbw as Starc misses what looks like a carrom ball. Rahane reviews. That ball came back in from off stump, on a good length, as Starc tried to flick. Hit him on the knee roll in front of middle. Umpire has confirmed there's no inside edge on it. Tracking shows umpire's call on the wickets. Clipping the bail between middle and leg. India retain the review
