5.34pm: England are bowled out for 204 - which West Indies would probably have taken after they won the toss and opted to bowl first. But from 67 for 7 and 114 for 9, England will be delighted with their tailenders' efforts: Leach and Mahmood put on 90 for the 10th wicket to save face and put them back in the game on a pitch that is still offering plenty when the ball is new and hard. According to Mark Butcher on the broadcast, this is only the second time that No. 10 and 11 have top-scored in a Test innings - - the last time was Tom Garrett and Edwin Evans way back in 1885! I'll sign off there - make sure to join us again tomorrow morning to see how West Indies' top order fare against the new ball.

Saqib Mahmood is speaking to BT Sport. "It was good fun. Once we saw off the burst from Alzarri and Jayden Seales, it was good fun out there. I thought we stuck at it well and cashed in at that period just before that new ball. [Dismissal?] It's just basics really, I saw long-on go back and just had tunnel vision trying to get one down there. [Allrounder?!] If you listen to me in the dressing room I'll always say that. One of the boys has already said it's downhill from here. When I went out there I saw some of the boys in their whites already which spurred me on. [Pitch?] Both sides wanted to bowl on it and West Indies bowled exceptionally well... they didn't give us anything to hit. You could see there was a lot in the wicket early doors. [Tomorrow?] I think it's just a case of being disciplined and holding lengths on that wicket. The length is about dragging the batsman forwards. As the ball got softer it became easier to bat. That first session tomorrow will be crucial. [Lesson for next time you get to 49?] Watch the ball!"

Mahmood joins the exclusive list of No. 11s to top-score in a Test innings.

James: "Well, that's one of the most ridiculous days of test cricket I've seen. And I've watched England for over 50 years."

Khalid Kundi: "No fifty for Mahmood but being the top scorer is enough of an honour for number 11. Amazing"

Adam Wilson: "It says a lot that all the England players are in their whites in the balcony - they've been "just about to go and field" for two sessions now."

Blackwood to Mahmood, OUT, filthy half-tracker, chopped onto his stumps! Mahmood has never scored a professional fifty and that run continues. No turn whatsoever, Mahmood lifted his front foot and looked to drag it through the leg side, hacking across the line. He bottom-edged it into the crease and then the off stump, and throws his head back in a mixture of disgust and disbelief. Blackwood grins from ear to ear, celebrating his fourth Test wicket

Blackwood to Mahmood, FOUR, skips down, and drills it straight back down the ground! Turns this into a half-volley, and nails it in the gap between Leach and the umpire. Bosh!

Blackwood to Mahmood, no run, flat, gentle offbreak, nudged into the leg side

Time for one final over. Jermaine Blackwood takes his cap off, does his top button up and pops his collar. Slip and short leg in, over the wicket.

Brathwaite to Leach, no run, round-arm, speared down the leg side. Sharp take from Da Silva as Leach misses it

Brathwaite has the ball in his hands, which suggests the umpires have told him not to bowl his quicks.

Three minutes left in the day and West Indies are in no hurry between overs, so this will probably be the last one. The umpires are having a look at the light and have taken a reading... but they're staying out there for now.
