The ECB say Potts suffered cramp in his left leg - England will be relieved that it's nothing more serious than that.

3.08pm: New Zealand are bowled out for 132 before tea on the first day, with Anderson and Potts taking four wickets each. That total actually represents something of a recovery from 39 for 6 at lunch, primarily thanks to Colin de Grandhomme's 42 not out; England couldn't have hoped for a better day. Potts left the field with an injury, which will be a concern, and Leach's concussion has seen him replaced by Parkinson, but the old stagers - and Anderson in particular - rolled back the years on their recall. Now for the big test: how will their young batting line-up fare against one of the world's best seam attacks?

Slightly full of a length, Boult shuffled back and across, covering his off stump from very deep in the crease, and looked to work this off his pads as Stokes targeted the stumps. But he could only lob up a catch for Pope at short midwicket - and it's a good one, diving to his right
