That's a bit of a collapse from Australia and Pakistan a narrow lead. From Cameron Green's dismissal they have lost 6 for 52. Moves the game on a bit. Still only one team that lose/win this match you would think. Pakistan will want to avoid an early wobble in their second innings

Matthew: "I am SSSSOOOOOO disappointed by the Australian tail. C'mon, our tail frustrated England in the Ashes, why can't they do the same to Pakistan on this batting paradise?"

Ahsan Bhutta: "Australia won't mind this mini collapse, they can have a go at Pakistan now. Few early wickets and we all know how Pakistan batting reacts to it."

Jared: "Presumably those reviews were because they had 3 remaining for the last 2 wickets so may as well use them up in the hope something weird happens. Not sure I'd call that curious" - Sure, just walking off and calling the review at the same time

Daniel: "This collapse is exactly what everyone (including Australia) needed. A chance now for something, anything, to happen... maybe."

Rowan: "What a collapse on such an easy pitch: 6/52. Does not bode well for the rest of the series. Hopefully the top 6 learned the lesson that you must convert fifties to big scores when the going is good."

Nauman Ali to Lyon, OUT, missed the sweep and given lbw! Lyon has called for the review but is also walking off. Curious scenes. A length delivery, no contact with bat, takes him on the back leg. Looks good. Hitting middle and off. A career-best six for Nauman

Shaheen Shah Afridi to Starc, OUT, fantastic yorker and given! But Starc reviews in a split second. Must have hit it? Pinpoint delivery. Not sure he's touched this. Heading for leg stump. Starc is already walking off as he wait for Ultra Edge. Well, there's a small murmur but third umpire says there's also a gap. Smashing leg stump

Shaheen Shah Afridi to Starc, no run, big appeal for lbw first ball! Good length, angling in, Starc misses his whip across the line. Appeared to be going down

We are almost ready for the action...here come Pat Cummins and Mitchell Starc. Will they have a swing? Shaheen Shah Afridi takes the ball

9.35am Duncan: "Do you get world test championship points for first innings lead? Is that why there is no talk of Australia declaring. I would have thought declaring when smith got out would have kept a Aussie win when and truly on the cards!" - Nope, no points for a lead. Win or draw (or tie!).

Tim: "Given what's happened over last 4 days I don't think Australia's selection of a second spinner would have made a difference, choosing your 4 best bowler's 6 best batter's and best wicketkeeper should be priority then sort the details out after that. If I were Boland I'd be glad I missed out on bowling on this road!" - Will be interesting to see what they do in Karachi

Dave: "@Duncan - Australia declaring behind doesn't make a lot of sense. They're better off trying to eke out a first innings lead and then putting pressure on Pakistan. Declaring 50 behind gives Pakistan the opportunity to get a 250 lead and put Australia under pressure for 50 overs on the last day. If Australia gets 50-100 runs ahead, only one team can win from there (unlikely as it is)."

Simon B: "Melbourne 2016? Pakistan 443/9d, Australia 465/6 at the beginning of Day 5... Pakistan lost that one by an innings, with more than an hour to spare..." Indeed they did. Can Starc provide a repeat of his innings?

9.20am Adil: "This test has nothing left in it except for the famous Pakistan collapse which could bring in an exciting day of cricket." Abu Dhabi 2015?

Emaad: "Good morning all (or goodnight for those of us in the Western Hemisphere). Would it be too far fetched to hope for both captains to split the remaining overs of the day evenly, after Australia has erased the deficit, to squeeze a result from this otherwise dull affair?" - Yes

9.15am Hello everyone and welcome to the final day of this opening. Would be a stretch to say this Test has been a thriller. Could the final day conjure something spectacular? Play will start at 9.45am today. There are 98 overs due to be bowled, 83 before the last hour is called. Over in New Zealand, Pakistan and Australia are facing each other in the World Cup. You can follow that here.

5.50pm And the umpires have decided that the light isn't good enough to continue so that's the end of the day. Hard to see that this game will be anything other than a draw on a surface that remains very flat. But we'll be back tomorrow to watch how it all plays out. For now, from Peter and Gnasher, it's goodbye
