3.25pm So that's that. West Indies' innings is finally wrapped up but with 311 on the board, and overcast conditions, West Indies will be very happy. Their lower order rescued them after the top order collapsed to 64 for 5. In fact these were the fifth-most runs added by West Indies' last five wickets vs Australia. Valiant half-centuries by Joshua Da Silva, Kavem Hodge and the debutant Kevin Sinclair were the highlights. Lyon was the only bowler to take a wicket today, so no five-wicket haul for Starc in this innings. Australia's innings will start soon, so stay tuned.
Mal: "Andrew Smith: But it's an encouraging sign. For much of the last twenty-five years, WI would struggle to bat 100 overs in an entire Test. You're pleased when your kid is first able to stand unaided, then when they can walk a few paces, right?"
Pete: "I'm a dyed in the wool Aussie fan and would be happy to see them win every game they play, but who could begrudge the Windies some success? I'm so pleased to see them fighting so hard in a series most expected to be totally one sided. Hopefully they can retain these young players in their test system and get back to powerhouse status at some point. Cricket would be the better for it. "
Glenn: "I want to see a Kevin Sinclair backflip wicket celebration today." I hope you are not begrudged this wish!
Syed Imran : "Windies shown good fighting spirit."
Anupam: "Windies must have crossed 300 against Australia down under after a long time. Gives them a fair chance to now put Australia under the pump"
Raja: "Aus has been a Generous Host this summer. Making all Debutants feel at home."
