6.04pm What a game this Test cricket is. India were going along so serenely, and Jaiswal had just brought up the century stand with Kohli with a rasping square cut. And then... well, everything went haywire to the extent that ESPNcricinfo's ball-by-ball page crashed. India were 153 for 2, then Jaiswal was out following an awful mix-up with Kohli, and they end the day 164 for 5. Thirteen runs, three wickets. This is Test cricket. And Australia are in a tremendous position to push hard for a big lead, possibly even bowl India out short of the follow-on mark. That number, 275, is still 111 runs away.

Anyway, that's it from me and Gnasher and Thilak for the day. We'll be back tomorrow, so do join us as we continue to follow the ebbs and flows of this enthralling contest. See you then!

vaduthalajohny : "cricinfo has to be blamed for the indian breakdown, both went south at the same time!"

Nisarg: "Questions will be raised about Kohli's incommunicado involvements in run outs and Pant not shielding Akash Deep enough. What a way to lose grip on the match and WTC hopes. Big face palm moment! " -- The point of a nightwatcher is to shield the specialist batters, not the other way round.

Srikanth: "Even team India had back-end-of-the-day glitch. Such a disappointing end!"

Starc to Jadeja, FOUR, and the day ends with a boundary. Full, looking for the yorker, ends up offering a half-volley on the pads, and Jadeja deftly flicks it away to the right of long leg

I think we're back now. Apologies for the technical glitch.

Starc to Jadeja, no run, ooh, a bit of late reverse into off stump, maybe? Not a lot. Low full-toss, looking for the yorker, and he clips it to midwicket

Boland to Jadeja, no run, ooh, finds the edge but it doesn't carry to Labuschagne at third slip. Angles a length ball in, the line is so tight on off stump that Jadeja has to play. Bat goes way out in front of the body, though, and the ball straightens to find the edge, which bounces in front of Labuschagne diving left

Round the wicket.

Boland to Jadeja, no run, fullish, nips a little towards the stumps from outside leg. Can't get his bat around his body and flick, is struck on the pad

Boland to Jadeja, no run, back of a length, angling across to off stump, defends off the back foot and inside-edges into his thigh pad

In walks Ravindra Jadeja. Australia have absolutely blown this game open after that Jaiswal run-out. Stays over the wicket with a short leg in place.

Boland to Akash Deep, OUT, got him, this is excellent from Boland, he knows exactly how to get the most out of his home pitch. Bangs in a short ball, angles it into Akash's hip, and he fends awkwardly and inside edges into his thigh pad, from where it bounces loopily towards leg gully, where Lyon takes a lovely catch diving forward

Starc to Akash Deep, no run, length ball angling in and straightening. Would have just missed the top of off and middle, I think. Joel Wilson agrees too, after Starc appeals for lbw after hitting the back pad. Squares up Akash in defence and beats the outside edge

Silly point also in place now.

Starc to Akash Deep, no run, length ball in the corridor, straightens just a touch, and it slides past the edge as Akash pushes at it, away from his body, with his front foot only moving after he plays the shot

Starc to Akash Deep, no run, shortish, angling into middle stump, rides the bounce and blocks it back towards the bowler

Starc round the wicket to Akash. Short leg in place.

Anil: "Pathetic time to crash" -- Can't argue with that. There's no good time to crash, but this was a particularly bad one.

Starc to Pant, no run, tight leave. Length ball outside off, and there's some movement in from there, but Pant shoulders arms confidently after taking a stride forward
