31.2 Flings the bat out, and the outside edge is drawn! Bowls a little fuller and gets a hint of wobble away from fourth stump line, he gets tempted to go for a drive and doesn't account for the latte nibble, goes for the drive and gets a thick edge that is cleanly pouched by the keeper. Greaves with another crucial breakthrough. Excellent passage of play for West Indies! 95/3
0.3 Roach strikes straightaway. It was full in the channel, shaping away. Conway tamely hangs is bat out and gets an outside edge towards the cordon. Greaves moves to his right from second slip to pouch it with both hands at a comfortable height 1/1
29.4 Lovely ball and gets dice! That is a brute of a delivery, landed on a shortish length on off-stump, straightens a touch and squares up the great man, he jumps, trying to fend it off-side and ends up nicking it to Athanaze who hangs onto the catch brilliantly in the slip cordon. A magnificent innings on comeback comes to an end. Big celebration and why not? He has got a massive breakthrough, bowled in the right area and reaps the reward 94/2
32.6 around the wicket, goes fuller and shapes it into his pads, this length has troubled the batters, he misses the line and the off-stump has been disturbed! Ravindra unable to handle the music, leans forward and was left flummoxed with the fuller zagged in delivery, another mighty breakthrough for West Indies! Now this is some start by West Indies. The pitch seems to be a heaven for pacers and bowling fuller has paid rich dividends 103/4
40.6 Awkward back of a length zone, hardly any movement around fifth stump line on off, goes across the line and seemed to be caught up in two minds and ends up nicking it. He admonishes himself after falling in this fashion but this wicket is super tough to bat. Fired up celebration, went airborne and kicked the air jubilation 120/5
48.3 bowled 'im. And Shields finally has his first Test wicket, and it was similar to the delivery with which he had got Williamson - that was a no-ball, though. But not this time. Full outside off and nipping in. Blundell goes for a drive only to get an inside edge that crashes onto the stumps 148/6
68.5 Short ball ploy works, he was in a hurry and plays one big shot too many. Gets a well-directed lifter getting big on him, leans back and swats a pull to Chanderpaul at midwicket, departs after an important contribution of 47. Has given a real impetus to the innings with his quickfire knock 215/8
64.4 Over the wicket, length ball angling into middle and off, tries to lift it up and over midwicket and mid-on and ends up miscuing it to the man stationed at short midwicket, a nothing shot and a soft dismissal. He'll be livid with himself 200/7
70.3 caught down the leg side. Foulkes signals for a review as he walks off. More in hope than anything. Was a length ball at the stumps. Foulkes moved across to flick and got a feather down the leg side. The UltraEdge shows a spike and that's the end of the New Zealand innings 231/10
69.4 Banged in short and targets his armpits, cramping him for room, he charges and goes for a hook, loses shape and pulls it straight into the hands of deep square leg, departs for 8. Seales with a comfortable catch down his throat 227/9

1.1 and he strikes straightaway! Short of length angling towards the batter and then straightening. Campbell looks to defend but gets an outside edge towards third slip. Young dives to his left and takes it with his left hand 1/1
59.1 Conway finally holds on to one. A short ball and Chanderpaul goes for the pull. Hits it in the air to the left of Conway, around chest height. Conway was just in front of square leg and flungs himself, goes with both hands and pouches it with his left 140/6

10.3 Wrecks the stumps! Fraction short and gets it to swerve back sharply from outside off, he tries to play a forward defensive shot and the ball sneaks through the gap, rattles the stumps and West Indies find themselves in a spot of bother. It was a cracking delivery that roared back from a probing length, not that short, barely had time to react, prodigious swing! He got off balance 10/2
42.6 Appeal for a caught behind and the umpire thinks otherwise. Short ball holding its line on leg-stump, shuffles across to tuck it away, close to the glove, indeed there's a deflection as the ball passes the bat and the on-field umpire has to change his decision. New Zealand spot on with the review and an enterprising knock from Hope comes to an end. He showed a great balance in defence and attack, showed steely nerves and batted with good grit and determination in trying conditions. Short ball ploy works for Duffy. 100/3
46.1 Over the wicket, window was open after Hope's wicket and here's come another wicket. Fraction short and zipping in at a teasing and irksome off-stump line, he plays down the wrong line by a little margin and gets a feather edge to the keeper, departs without troubling the scorers. The ball just kissed the outside edge. Perfect line and length to the new batter. Brute of a delivery! 106/4
46.4 Gets his second in the over. On a length and probing on a fourth to fifth stump line, uncomfortable area for him and tests his technique, outside edge and snaffled by Latham again, another batter departs without opening his account. West Indies need some rebuilding work now and stablize the ship. Will be a test of their defensive technique, ball is jagging around and Henry has found his rhythm, bowling at tight areas and getting all the help from the surface, moving the ball around beuatifully and bowling one peach after another 106/5
71.1 three slips and a gully. Wicket straightaway right after resumption of play. Over the wicket and bangs it short and gets a hint of inward seam movement towards leg-stump, ball rises to shoulder height as he takes it on and goes for a hook, close to the glove and the finger goes up. There's a tiny deflection on the ultra-edge as the ball passes the glove so it will remain as OUT. Gone after a well-fought 14 but, it's unlucky that he had to restart again and handle pace in low light. Nevertheless, credit to Duffy for nailing the short one and not giving any looseners 157/7

71.6 Cries of catch it and Duffy takes a screamer after his follow-through, dives in front to his left and gobbles it up. Hits the deck hard and got it to shape back from outside off, he just chips it down the track and has to take the long walk back to the pavillion. 157/8
75.1 Over the wicket, good length and swings back in, beating his ambitious whack down the ground, left a big gap and the ball goes onto clatter the stumps. West Indies resistence melts away quickly after the rain break. 167/9
75.4 Wrecks the stumps and knocked him over! Gets his first five-wicket haul and wraps the tail, doing the needful with perfection. Landed full on this occasion and the ball deflected off is pads and into the stumps. 167/10

87.3 Finally some respite for West Indies. Bowls a pearler on a shorter length and it nibbles in a touch from outside off, gets an inside edge onto the keeper. A marvelous knock comes to an end. Puts New Zealand in a very strong position. Well-paced, authoritative, brave, nimble-footed knock. 379/3
26.6 a wicket against the run of play for the West Indies! Conway sees width outside off and slashes hard at that, the ball flies fo square third where Hodge, the substitute, was a long way in. For a brief second it seemed as if he may not be in control and the ball will bobble out, but he somehow managed to hold on. Conway is bitterly disappointed and drags himself off. 84/1
32.5 what a masterstroke! Roach comes on for the last over before lunch and gets Williamson with an absolute peach. This is bowled full from wide of the crease, hits the seam and moves away a hint to have Williamson feebly defending as he nicks off. Roach celebrates, West Indies celebrate and their lunch will taste a lot, lot better. 100/2

92.1 over the wicket and bowls a pinpoint accurate yorker on middle right in the blockhole and he couldn't get his feet out of the way, stumps askew and Ravindra has to take the long back to the dressing room after a marathon knock of 176! Crowd is up on their feet alongside his teammates and coach, applauding the staggering innings. He has changed the complexsion of the game with his massive contribution that too at a brisk pace. O Shields got that spot on 410/4
97.2 superb delivery and West Indies strike early! Seales get this to leap up off a length to square him up as Young gets a thick edge to gully. Absolute dolly to Shai Hope. 420/5
104.4 that is a stunning grab down leg by Imlach! Roach bowls one on middle and leg, Bracewell thinks he's done well to tickle that fine, but Imlach has done outstandingly well to get to the ball with the dive, and it stuck. 448/6

108.6 five-for, Roach's 12th in Tests! Bowls a slower full toss outside off, Duffy backed away to heave it leg side but ends up toe-edging it to the bowler, who grabs it on the second attempt. Smiles and hugs around Roach, who can't believe he has a five-for. They walk off knowing Smith and Blundell aren't coming out to bat. West Indies need 531 to win. Roach leads the team off the field. 466/8

12.5 taken at second slip and that is a stunner! Slanted across, held his length back just a touch to allow the ball to do enough off the seam, Campbell jabs at that to get a thick edge as Braceell dives low to his right, in front of first slip, to take that. 24/1
14.1 taken off the inside edge! Excellent grab diving to his left by Latham. Chanderpaul can't defend this cleanly as the ball rises awkwardly and nips in to take the inside edge as he feebly looks to defend. West Indies in early trouble 25/2
23.2 he's out to an absolute long hop! Athenaze rocks back to pull and ends up toe-ending this straight to mid-on. Extra bounce off a length, also came on a lot slower than Athanaze anticipated. He'll be livid with himself. 55/3

92.1 New Zealand finally get a breakthrough! The short ball ploy works! Bouncer dug in and it was growing away from him at leg-stump, he wanted to pull that fine and ended up giving a simple catch to the wicket-keeper! A marathon innings comes to an end, lapse of concentration and Latham took a spellbinding catch diving full-stretch to his left and pouching it in his webbing! Now New Zealand will be looking to sneak a few more and attack 268/5
28.3 Gone! West Indies captain departs early in the piece. Henry bowls an absolute brute of a delivery on a shorter length and it curls away a touch, kissing the outside edge and resting in Latham's gloves. Hit the perfect area and got the desired movement, too good for Chase who had to play it. Huge breakthrough and Henry is on cloud 9; what a roaring celebration; he loved it 72/4
