7.45pm: So, Rockets become one of the few teams to be bowled out in the competition, and for fewer than 100, too - that's about as anticlimactic as you can get in a knockout. George Garton claimed 3 for 18 at the top, Tymal 3 for 8 at the end, and Rockets couldn't muster much in between. Only four batters reached double-figures, Samit Patel's 20 from 21 a rather limp top score; all told, they scored seven fours and four sixes. No need for me to tell you who are favourites at halfway, though there's still the chance for some magic from Rashid Khan. Join Peter Della Penna for the chase shortly

Here's Garton: "It was a lot of fun, we had something to prove after our first game against them, we performed badly. But nice to get off to a good start today. [Wickets] That's my role, come in up top and be aggressive, put them on the back foot. [Pitch] Playing well, offered a bit with the new ball, but you saw some sixes as well. Hopefully we can chase them down. We've got Stirlo, Vincey and Quinny up top, some good middle order batting as well. Bit nervous, but that's good, playing in front of a huge crowd on a big occasion, loved it. The crowd's been brilliant, we had a fortress down in Southampton, and a great crowd tonight as well."

Mills to de Lange, OUT, pitched up and feathered through! Mills does the job first ball, and Rockets have been dismissed with nine balls unbowled! This has been a demolition job by Brave, though they've still got to finish it off with the bat

M de Lange c †de Kock b Mills 7 (8m 6b 0x4 1x6) SR: 116.66

Mills again, the cut-off has shifted to 7.43pm

  • Marchant de Lange7 (5b)
  • Chris Jordan2.5-0-15-2
  • Tymal Mills2.5-0-8-2

Brave now take the strategic timeout, presumably trying to work out the best way of taking one more wicket before the cut-off becomes a problem!

Matt R has this observation, by the way: "Tim David was such a last-minute replacement for Brave that he doesn't even have a name/number on his shirt"

Jordan to Carter, OUT, nicked to the keeper! Pace on from Jordan and it finds the outside edge as Carter throws the hands. A leaden-footed swipe and Rockets lose their ninth

M Carter c †de Kock b Jordan 0 (11m 2b 0x4 0x6) SR: 0.00

The cut-off for Brave to start the final set is 7.40pm, by the way

Jordan to Moores, OUT, launched towards long-on... but there's a man there! Overton takes it on the rope, steadies himself and then does the toss-up-hokey-cokey - his back heel was very close to the boundary marker, and he then trod on it after releasing. But he completes the catch back inside the rope and Moores has to go, done by the lack of pace on another Jordan slower ball
