4:26pm Wow, what an extraordinary innings that was from Overton. 83 off just 30 balls, with the ball flying to all parts. The Superchargers just did not have any answers, and were taken apart with 37 runs coming off the last ten balls alone. Evans played his part too earlier in the innings, rattling along to a 17-ball 41.

As for the Superchargers, well, they got off to an excellent start with Topley getting rid of Buttler and Salt early. After that, though, they just could not contend as the Originals kept coming after them. There were too many indiscretions, with respect to the lines and lengths they bowled, meaning that they now have a mountain to climb in the second innings. Do join us in a bit for the run-chase!

Jamie Overton: Maybe it just skidded on a little bit (after the rain). (On the crowd) Just try to be positive and try to take them out of the equation. (On the pitch and the score) I think it is a good score. You can never be complacent in this game.
