karan: "Ireland and Last wicket stands. Still a better love story than Twilight."
Mark: "No idea how the pitch is playing, but you felt that 180 was the minimum Ireland needed to make some kind of fight of it, but it seems to be too few to be able to test the West Indies seriously."
4:45pm Thirty runs for the last wicket and 54 for the seventh means Ireland have able to eke out something of a score. From 88 for 6, they will take 180, but they would have liked so much more after electing to bat. Alzarri Joseph was feisty throughout the innings, getting balls to kick up from a length, getting assistance from a two-paced pitch on other occasions, and just generally being a menace as he took 4 for 32. Cottrell got a few important blows in the middle overs, Walsh and Chase kept it tight and Ireland were mostly playing catch up. Can they cause some trouble with early wickets? We'll be back shortly to find out.
