- BATSMENRBM4s6sSR0.2 inside edge and bowled! There are two problems Shaw is contending with recently - jabbing away from the body and the ball that comes in. This is a combination of both. It's an inswinger from a good length, just a touch wide of the corridor. He's looking to drive on the rise and it's for the initial line. Gap between bat and front leg and half a stride. Not a great looking shot and it'll feel like a long walk back for him. For Starc - just another day with the pink ball. Fantastic start 0/118.1 bowled him, what a delivery. Agarwal a little late getting forward, his front foot lands on its heel as this ball from the fuller side of a good length nips in from just outside off. That leaves a gap between bat and pad as he defends, and Cummins finds it to knock back the top of middle. Superlative length, found that little hole in Agarwal's defence 32/249.4 steps out and there's a huge appeal after the ball lobs off the pad to the fielder at leg gully. Not given, and Australia have reviewed. They did so especially because Pujara seemed to start walking before stopping in his tracks, and you can see why. Lyon's made the big breakthrough here. His changes of pace today have been excellent. Just a bit quicker, and Pujara can't get anywhere near the pitch of it to kick it away. Has to try and defend hurriedly, and there's extra bounce, and he gets a thick edge into pad, which lobs up to that man at leg gully. Huge breakthrough just when Pujara seemed set to turn the momentum around 100/376.6 full, flighted ball on off stump, and a mix-up ends this promising stand. Yikes. Rahane gets forward to play the checked drive, well within range of the fielder at mid-off, who's hurtling forward at speed. Rahane takes a couple of steps out, Kohli responds, then Rahane sends him back, by which time he's already halfway down the pitch and in no position to get back. What a moment, ends a brilliantly controlled knock from Kohli, and brings the new batsman in with the second new ball looming 188/480.4 gone, that looked plumb! Was he beaten for pace there? It's given, and Rahane was walking away, but Vihari calls him back and asks him to review. Full, maybe swinging back a touch. Rahane is stuck on the crease, feet going nowhere, and he jams his bat down in a slicing motion to keep it out as it tails in late. Not too extravagantly at all. Pitching just inside the line of leg stump, swinging to hit leg stump, and India lose their review. Massive wicket, this 196/583.2 that looks dead in front! No vigour at all in terms of a review from Vihari this time. Good length ball, sliding straight on at an off stump line. Vihari brings down an angled bat and is beaten on the inside edge by a long way. It hits his back leg in front of off. Once again, a very odd shot. I wonder if visibility has anything to do with this. Whether it does or not, it's Australia's premier fast bowlers doing the job even late in the day. What a wonderful day they've had, pure quality 206/690.3 gone, that was one of those dismissals where you get a loose shot but kind of understand why the batsman played it. Didn't play it very well, though. Smart bowling from Starc, slants out a full, wide tempter, and Saha throws his hands at it, looking to drive through the covers. All he manages is an edge through to Paine. With the bounce on this pitch, the angled bat is an invitation for trouble. Could have maybe gone harder so the edge would fly over the cordon 235/889.3 edged, and Cummins finds a hole in Ashwin's technique. Great bowling, tests him with a fuller length outside off, and he doesn't get forward at all. Just pushes at it with hard hands, and the ball straightens to take his edge through to Tim Paine. It's the first outside-edge dismissal of the innings 233/792.2 full on middle stump, and Umesh goes for the big slog but his weight is falling backwards as he plays it, and he slices it high in the air, behind the bowler, and mid-on runs across and takes a very well-judged catch 240/993.1 it doesn't matter. Digs it in short, and it rears towards the top of Shami's helmet. All he can do is get his hands up in a desperate attempt to fend it away, and gloves the loopiest, simplest catch to short leg 244/10Extras18 (b 2, lb 8, nb 7, w 1)TOTAL244 all out (93.1 Overs, RR: 2.61)Fall of wickets: 1-0 (Prithvi Shaw, 0.2 ov), 2-32 (Mayank Agarawal, 18.1 ov), 3-100 (Cheteshwar Pujara, 49.4 ov), 4-188 (Virat Kohli, 76.6 ov), 5-196 (Ajinkya Rahane, 80.4 ov), 6-206 (Hanuma Vihari, 83.2 ov), 7-233 (Ravichandran Ashwin, 89.3 ov), 8-235 (Wriddhiman Saha, 90.3 ov), 9-240 (Umesh Yadav, 92.2 ov), 10-244 (Mohammed Shami, 93.1 ov)

- BATSMENRBM4s6sSR14.1 appeal for lbw and given. Wade reluctantly reviews it. Looks good if it's hit him in line. He's deep in the crease, walking across off stump and is struck around the knee roll. Bumrah is around the wicket, remember. Slants it in from a length and raps him as he's moving. That's hitting middle stump. Umpire's call. They lose the opener, retain the review 16/116.6 another lbw, looks very good for India. Burns reviews. It's a Bumrah yorker - or one that Burns has made with his stride. Middle and leg stump line. He walks across the stumps and gets locked up with the front leg across into the off side. He's hit his toe with the bat and that shows a mark on Snicko. Umpire is satsified there's no bat on it. And Burns himself seemed to know it because he consulted for a while before taking the review. The only thing that can save him now is if that ball is sliding down leg. It is not. Umpire's call. This one decidedly closer than the last one, it's just about brushing leg stump. Burns not pleased about that. His dogged innings has ended less than ten minutes before the long break. Bumrah has swung the session India's way 29/253.3 big appeal for lbw as Umesh gets one to keep low, and it's given. I don't think there's much doubt in it, unless it's sliding down leg. Labuschagne thinks long and hard before reviewing, and then he does. Back of a length, and Labuschagne is up on his toes but the ball stays down at knee height and skims below his bat to hit his pad, on the knee roll. No bat. Okay, that's plumb. Struck in front of off stump, and from there it's not going to miss the stumps. Hitting middle and off, says ball-tracking. 111/626.6 got him, Ashwin has struck with an absolute beauty! He got Smith like this in Dharamsala in 2017, but that was from around the wicket. I don't know if this was meant to go on straight or if it was just natural variation, but he plays back to a length ball just outside off, and it skids through quick, takes the outside edge of his defensive bat, and straight into Ajinkya Rahane's lap at slip. Almost seemed to leave Smith off the pitch, kind of like the Mohammad Nabi arm ball 45/334.4 gone, Ashwin has two! This was flighted, on middle and off or thereabouts, and Head doesn't get a proper stride in to drive. Gets his front leg out of the way because he's worried about lbw, and then looks to clip into the on side, but the ball dips, straightens, hits the outside half of the bat, and pops right back to the bowler at chest height. India are all over Australia now. 65/440.3 Kohli lunges low to his right and holds on at midwicket! We saw Lyon extracting bounce from this pitch, and Ashwin has done that with this ball too, albeit it's a short one turning into leg stump. It's there for the pull, but pulling in front of square is hard when there's bounce. Green looks to go over midwicket, it hits the high part of his bat and floats out to Kohli's right. He tracks it and times the leap to his right perfectly. These can be hard if you go early. Kohli goes with both hands and completes the landing perfectly before he takes a bow. Not a bad first innings from Green at all, certainly looked comfortable at the crease, but he doesn't do it long enough 79/553.6 got him, Umesh is on fire here! Short ball, climbs awkwardly at Cummins, and as he tries to fend it away it hits the shoulder of his bat and pops up to gully. Cummins jabbed at it well in front of his body, bottom hand off the handle 111/760.1 full on leg stump, clipped to the right of deep backward square leg, and they chance a second run, only to produce a loud run-out appeal... It goes up to the third umpire, and Starc is gone by about a foot at the striker's end. Not sure who it was at the deep - excellent flat throw on the bounce to Saha. It's Shaw, I think. 139/866.5 chipped straight to short midwicket. It is a slow pitch, and that's on display here. Short of a length, cross-seam offbreak into the hips. He wants to turn that behind square off the back foot but closes the face early. Kohli holds on, smiles wide and breaths a sigh of relief 167/972.1 taken at slip. A sharp take too, from Pujara at first slip. Short ball at middle and leg. He backs away and looks to steer that over the cordon. He's done alright with the technique, but needs a couple of more inches on that to clear the leaping fielder. Nice hang time from Pujara as he gets to hands on that 191/10Extras3 (lb 3)TOTAL191 all out (72.1 Overs, RR: 2.64)Fall of wickets: 1-16 (Matthew Wade, 14.1 ov), 2-29 (Joe Burns, 16.6 ov), 3-45 (Steven Smith, 26.6 ov), 4-65 (Travis Head, 34.4 ov), 5-79 (Cameron Green, 40.3 ov), 6-111 (Marnus Labuschagne, 53.3 ov), 7-111 (Pat Cummins, 53.6 ov), 8-139 (Mitchell Starc, 60.1 ov), 9-167 (Nathan Lyon, 66.5 ov), 10-191 (Josh Hazlewood, 72.1 ov)

- BATSMENRBM4s6sSR3.1 through him! A far too familiar picture for those who've followed Shaw over the last year. Good length, landing on a seam outside off, nips back in sharply as Shaw gets forward to defend. He's too slow on it, the front foot still in motion as the ball goes through the gap and tonks the stumps 7/112.1 and he strikes first ball. Wow. The most Josh Hazlewood dismissal you'll see. Extra bounce from a length, and the initial angle - much like the Pujara dismissal - isn't even attacking off stump but going slightly inside the line of the stumps. Then it straightens to take the edge, with Agarwal squared up in defence 15/47.6 got him, Cummins has taken very little time to take out the nightwatchman. Fullish, angling into off stump and straightening. Was it the slower legcutter? Possibly. Either way, he gets Bumrah to push at it in front of his body, without much of a stride prior to that, and the ball pops back for a return catch at waist height 15/211.2 Cummins is bringing Australia right back into this game. Superb delivery, angling into middle and off and straightening. Pujara absolutely has to play, the length is perfect. The feet don't go anywhere, and even though he plays as close to the body as possible, it moves just enough to take his edge and no more. His bat face is ever so slightly closed, suggesting he was playing the initial angle 15/313.4 now Cummins has the Kohli wicket. I think all the wickets at the other end have unsettled Kohli, and made him decide he has to take on the bowling. Fullish in a wide-ish channel outside off, and Kohli does something he didn't do at all in the first innings, attempt a cover drive against such a ball. Slices it to gully, where Green seems to have taken a clean catch low to his left, but they're checking anyway. Soft signal is out. He caught it a few inches above the turf, but the issue is whether it slipped momentarily from his grasp on his way down. There seems to be a bit of a juggle, but it's hard to tell, given he's landing in an area of shadow, so it stays with the soft signal 19/612.5 I said the length was more or less perfect the previous ball. This one was a few inches fuller, along the same line, and the ball straightened again to take the edge. India are effectively 68 for 5. Rahane doesn't get a stride forward, just pushes at the ball, in front of his body, and pays the price 15/520.1 that's five for Hazlewood! Take a bow, you absolute beast. What a spell. So persistent, near-perfect this morning. It's another trademark dismissal - draw the batsman in with the angle in at the stumps, straighten it off the surface to draw the edge. And the edges are carrying today. Vihari on the front foot, thick outside edge, and Paine lunges to his right with two hands to hold on 31/918.4 chipped straight to midwicket! There is no stop to this carnage. What a treat to watch this guy bowl. Not his best delivery of the morning by any stretch, but everything around this delivery means Saha has gone with hard hands at a ball dipping into his leg stump. It's a good length delivery, he reaches out and looks to close the face. He's not close enough to do that and that's off the inside part of a turning bat 26/718.5 there's a sound and the umpire's heard it too. Ashwin reviews the catch behind. Good length, landing on the seam in the corridor. Jags away the tiniest bit from the surface. Ashwin is caught inside the line on the forward defence...there's nothing on Hotspot. But Snicko has the slightest murmur. Ashwin will go first ball. Wicket number 200 for Hazlewood and now he's on a hat-trick 26/821.2 can't get out of the way. Short ball, doesn't quite rise as much. It's headed down leg side. Shami is backing into the leg side and trying to evade. - BATSMENRBM4s6sSR17.2 oh well, India will take that. Bizarre dismissal. Down the track and Ashwin spots him coming and fires it into his feet. Clips into the on side, straight into Shaw's right leg at short leg, and the ball rolls quickly to Saha with Wade well out of his crease. He picks up quickly to his right and gets a backhand flick between his legs without looking. A direct hit with Wade slipping and caught well outside the crease 70/119.5 taken at mid-on. Ashwin still on the mark like he was in the first innings. Beautifully dipping length ball just outside off, slowing it down because Labuschagne has looked impatient. Steps out and looks to cart it over midwicket. It drops on him and then gets big.
