Saqib Mahmood was brilliant with the new ball, taking two wickets with the first three balls of the innings and really setting the tone. He ended up with 4 for 42, and the rest of the attack all chipped in too, with Overton and Parkinson taking two each, Gregory getting one with the new ball, and Vince running Maqsood out. Brydon Carse impressed too, despite being the most expensive bowler: he hit 90mph several times, banging the ball into the pitch. Restart at 4.05pm

More gold from Sampath: This is only the second time England had 4+ wicket hauls in four consecutive ODIs (Woakes, SCurran+Willey, TCurran, Mahmood). The other such streak was against Australia at home in 2018. In 23 ODIs before the current streak, England had just one player taking 4+ wicket haul - David Willey 5/30 vs Ireland last year."

"Really happy," Mahmood tells Sky. "Opportunities are hard to come by in this side so to get the opportunity and take it like I did today, very happy. You haven't had much time to think about it, which is probably a good thing - you just crack on and luckily for the boys, we've gone well so far. [PSL helped?] I guess so. Having bowled at these guys and got some of them out before, it gives you a bit of confidence coming into the game. [Pitch?] A bit of movement with the new ball but as it got older, the wicket got better. [First ball?] You get one out the way early, it settles the nerves a bit."
