Hume was superb in the middle overs with the ball for Ireland while Adair used the assistance from the conditions to be penetrative. Little did pick up three wickets but served up a lot of boundary balls, as his figures would confirm. 247 to get, Ireland should be confident, especially given Bangladesh have only three seamers to fall back on. But their spinners are potent in most conditions. Join us for the chase soon.
2:42pm A competitive total on the board for Bangladesh, in Niall O'Brien's words. Not a reflection of the surface though. Yes, there's enough on the surface and conditions to keep the bowlers interested. The ball was moving in the air and off the pitch as well for a large part of the innings. But it was coming onto the bat nicely, as Shakib as well as Shanto would attest to. But both fell against the run of play and it was left to Mushfiqur to help them to a 200-plus score. He scored a steady half-century but couldn't carry on after that.
Graham Hume: "Happy to contribute to the team. Was lucky to pick up a few wickets. My plan was to keep it simple and keep doing whatever works. We had plans for each batter, having played them earlier this year [Little] We saw today how crucial his three wickets were and how he picked those. That is why he is where he is. Upto our batters to chase the runs."
Ebadot Hossain is the last man in.
