Glenn Phillips: It was brilliant. Conway is an amazing player to play with. He kept me calm under pressure. Knee cap is doing alright. It wasn't quite as bad as the first time.

This is a monster total from New Zealand, because the pitch wasn't flat. It may have become a little quicker, a little easier to hit through the line, with the rain. But there were signs that the ball stopped on the batsmen early in the innings.

Phillips came out well aware of this and by making sure he kept a strong base, while batting deep in his crease, and delaying his bat swing just enough, he absolutely flourished. He was set up for the slower ball. He was only going to smash the slower ball. And once he got going, once he put the pressure back on West Indies, they just didn't know what to do. They tried spin, but that brought out his 360 degree game, including a spectacular switch hit. 108 off 51 balls. A very special innings, that.

Prmenon: "Superb innings. I don't remember a t20i hundred at no 4 or below. Has there been any ? " --- There have been a few. Four from the Test playing countries

Pollard to Conway, 1 run, cuts a shortish delivery to point

Oh, Pollard pulls out of his delivery stride after seeing Taylor backing up too far

Pollard to Phillips, OUT, short, slow, wide, slapped, goes too high, taken at point. He fell soon after his injury in the last game and that trend continues here as well. Except, today he's amassed 108 in only 51 balls. That's the fastest century by a New Zealander and the whole crowd at the Bay Oval stands up to salute him. He walks off tapping his bat with the ones the kids are thrusting out to him as he walks up to the dressing room. They have a new hero now

Pollard to Phillips, no run, oooh, his right knee is a problem again! Weird thing happened to it the last game. And now here, Immediately after he slogs a good length ball away to deep midwicket, he screams again, this time in pain and goes down. His back leg locked at the ankle, as he hit his shot, so the knee took a lot of stress, and that stole his balance and brought him down very very awkwardly.
