9:38pm An innings that ultimately ended in a whimper for the Kings. They began in sprightly fashion, blazing away to 38 runs after the first four overs. Once Gurbaz fell, though, they struggled to keep up the momentum. Avishka and Malik tried to anchor the innings through the middle overs but with them losing wickets at regular intervals, they never really got the finishing kick they were after.

The Falcons were brilliant, especially in the middle overs. Allen and skipper Hasaranga led the way, with Mendis also chipping in nicely. Zahoor was also tidy at the death, and ensured that the Kings did not get up to 150. On what Karunaratne says is still a decent wicket to bat, the Falcons will fancy their chances of getting across the finish line. Do join us in a bit for the run-chase!

Chamika Karunaratne: Playing a match always makes me happy. I always want to do what makes me happy. (About the last few days) I still have the pain but I just want to play the game. I love the game and I don't want to stay in the hotel and watch the match. The coaches and the doctors asked me how I felt. I said I was feeling great and they let me play. The wicket looks good.
