12.6 Shamsi gets Thisara Perera! Pulls his length back and bowls it a little outside off, asking Perera to fetch it. He goes after it, because, well, why not. Does not middle it, though, and arrows it flat towards long on, who slides forward and pouches the chance. Avishka with the sharp grab, and the Strikers lose their skipper after a cameo! 138/2

14.6 oh my days, what a catch! Put a cape on Fabian Allen! Hard length at the stumps, and this gets awfully big on Samarawickrama. He has a swipe across the line and shanks it off the toe-end. Goes straight up and does not even cross the circle in the mid wicket region. No problem for Allen, though. He comes tearing in off the fence, slides across the carpet and picks up the catch well above the ground. Does a slightly dodgy celebration afterwards but all is forgiven because of his catch! 148/4

15.2 oh dear, the Strikers are imploding! Back of a length just outside off. Karunaratne taps it into the off side and calls for a single that seems very risky from the outset. Short third swoops in and fires it accurately enough at the batter's end. Mendis whips off the bails and Dananjaya is short of his ground, despite sprawling across the turf. Not a great passage of play for the Strikers! 149/5

17.4 superb catch by Asalanka! Slower delivery dug into the track wide outside off. Karunaratne looks to flat-bat it over mid off but cannot get on top of the stroke as well as he would have liked. Splices it and Asalanka, haring in off the fence, completes the catch via a slide forward. The Kings' catching has been excellent in the past few overs, and that has led to another scalp! 164/7

15.3 appeal by Kusal Mendis, and the finger goes up! Shadab has reviewed, though! Tossed up nicely, on a full length just outside off. Shadab goes for the booming drive and there seems to be a side as the ball passes the bat. Mendis, after a couple of snatches at it, finally holds on and appeals, with the umpire also agreeing. Shadab certainly does not think so, and all eyes on the replays now. There is a clear spike when the ball is next to the bat, but the bat might have also hit the turf at the same point. This could be a tricky decision. The on-field call, remember, is out. No real gap between the bat and the ball, and the third umpire is happy Shadab nicked it. Shadab is not pleased but the Strikers, all said and done, are six down! 149/6

2.2 beautiful bowling! Gives it a hint of air outside off and pulls his length back, perhaps pre-empting Mendis coming down. The Kings batter does so irrespective and then proceeds to have a mow across the line. Makes no contact whatsoever and Gurbaz is sharp behind the stumps to effect the stumping. Kings under early strife! 9/1

14.5 Shadab breaks through! Slow and loopy outside off, enticing the big drive away from the body. Avishka has to reach out way too much and the bottom hand comes off in the process. Slices it tamely and Pathirana makes no mistake at short third. Is there life in this game still? 150/3
