Anrich Nortje: Just hitting hard length seemed to be the best option. They took away quite a lot of grass, so we had to adapt. We were just trying to see how the wicket was playing, but obviously we were just adapting to how the wicket was playing.
Anvit: "Was it a mistake to not bring the spinners to Dinesh Karthik early on in his innings considering his record against spin in last couple of years?" Possibly.
8:40pm So, India finish on 148 for 6, which is a respectable score considering the number of wickets India lost in the middle overs. That they reached the score was largely down to Karthik's 21-ball 30*. India scored 30 runs off the last two overs and with the surface slightly two-paced, it is not going to be easy. The South African pacers were brilliant as they found their lengths and varied the pace well. Can they chase it down and make it 2-0? We'll find out soon.
