5.10pm An excellent display of bowling from the Ireland bowlers, especially their seamers, to restrict Afghanistan to 122 for 8. It looked like a dry pitch but the Ireland seamers found movement as well as the bounce with the new ball. They picked up three wickets inside the powerplay and Afghanistan could never recover from there. Shahidi consumed 42 balls for his 36, and apart from him, only three others reached the double digits. Mr Extras, with 19, was the second top scorer of the innings.
