2.30pm New Zealand need 301 to win the first ODI. That the hosts got to the score was largely down to Harry Tector's maiden ODI century backed up by important contributions from Andy McBrine, Curtis Campher, and Simi Singh. Tector, in particular, was impressive throughout his stay as he brought up his century in quick time. He shared important partnerships all through as Ireland reached a good score on what seems like an excellent batting strip. For New Zealand, Lockie Ferguson, Blar Tickner and Ish Sodhi picked two wickets each. Can the visitors chase this down? Join us in a bit to find out.
Here's Harry Tector: It was brilliant. To have all my friends and family here was great and hopefully we have enough to defend. My granny passed away last week and it nice to know she is looking down. [On his celebration after reaching his century] Not much, I was just wanting to hit every ball for a four. It was just relief. I just want to contribute and it was brilliant to do that today. Early start is always tricky here. So 290-300 is what we had been looking for. New Zealand have a good batting lineup so we will have to bowl well.
