8:48pm Shadab's ODI best was needed for Pakistan to get to a good total, after their middle order caved in, not for the first time. Along with Khushdil, he arrested the slide before going on a rampage. He was unfortunate to miss out on a hundred but has ensured Pakistan have a total they can be confident of defending. Given how Pooran, Hosein and Walsh bowled, Pakistan's spinners could also make merry. Unless West Indies batters turn out with a point to prove. Ankur will be here with the chase, do join us in a bit.

8:44pm Pakistan scored 66 off the last eight overs and added 152 after the fifth wicket to get to a score that can be considered above par. Before we look back at the innings here's a small chat with Shadab Khan: "My talk with Khushdil was to play normally till the 40th over and take risks in the last powerplay. This pitch was better to bat. The previous game had a bit of grip but this time it wasn't so. Today was the first time I saw Nicholas Pooran bowl and he did well. Before the PSL I worked at the NCA on my bowling. Now I try to bowl longer. The score is quite good, given where we were. Early wickets should help us."

But it was right in the blockhole which meant he couldn't get underneath it. Muiltan Cricket Stadium stands and applauds as Shadab walks back.

Shadab could face just a couple of balls in the previous over but he is on strike now. Final over, 14 to get for his hundred. Possible?

It was an off-pace ball, which means Wasim is into his shot a tad early. Ends up getting an inside edge onto his stumps.
