12:22pm: A sunny morning followed a cloudy day. The first innings stretched for 80 minutes or so, 50 runs were scored and four wickets were taken. Southee and Henry were brilliant with the ball. The tailenders were solid in their defend, they swung and missed when they tried attacking. Decent effort from the bottom-four sticks, all of whom got their highest Test scores. Rajitha and Jayasuriya were solid for their 22 and 13. Fernando and Kumara put up 19 for the final wicket to take the visitors past 355.
Tharin: "Everyone except dickwella has got a double digit score."
Raff: "Wonderful tail wagging by the inexperienced Sri Lankans: the last four wickets bagged 87 runs."

Hasi: "Why NZ DRS's didn't reset after 80 overs?" That rule changed a while ago, it's three unsuccessful reviews max per innings now

Simon: "The relative ease of batting by SL tail enders against new ball and fresh bowlers should give confidence to the NZ top order."
Harsha Alwis: "Last 4 batman's (Kasun R, Prabath J, Lahiru K and Asitha F) got their highest score in this match. "
